To attract the best partnerships and talent that can move research out of the lab and into the marketplace will require an initial investment in the newest industry-standard equipment and tools.
Gifts to the Innovation & Discovery Fund will provide the necessary seed funds, to take scientific research to the clinical trial phase(s) of product and/or therapy development, leading to commercialization and the marketplace. This fund serves to support the costs of start-ups including licensing, legal and contractual agreements, and funding for clinical trials.
Unrestricted expendable gifts will help to support the operations of the Innovation and Research Park. Unrestricted giving is critical to the success of the operation as it affords leadership the flexibility to direct funds to an area of greatest need, which may include unexpected and unbudgeted costs that may arise throughout the year.
Naming-level gifts for the Innovation and Research Park can be allocated for essential resources (space, equipment, seed funding, specific areas of research, etc.) based on priorities, capital, or operational needs. Gifts can be made in multi-year pledge agreements, endowed resources, quasi-endowments, and outright donations based on Rosalind Franklin University’s gift acceptance policies. Benefactor recognition plaques or markers for naming-level gifts will be appropriately displayed to celebrate the role of philanthropy in empowering new discoveries and therapies, and helping to create a healthier community.
