Sean P. Kane, PharmD, BCPS, Senior Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, joined the university in August 2012. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University in 2010. In 2011, he completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency, and in 2012 he received board certification in pharmacotherapy and completed a PGY-2 critical care residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Kane teaches throughout the pharmacy curriculum, including cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, critical care topics, and in medical literature evaluation. He also has expertise in web and mobile application development, clinical decision support tools, and the use of artificial intelligence in both education and clinical practice. Dr. Kane's research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning, particularly in identifying predictors of student outcomes in the pharmacy curriculum. Dr. Kane is the creator and co-host of "HelixTalk", Rosalind Franklin University's College of Pharmacy Podcast.
