The Clinical Sciences Department was created to enhance the student experience by providing a central location for a multitude of clinical sciences resources. The new structure encourages a more collaborative environment for faculty to share best practices and execute consistency in medical school curriculum.
Clinicians from many different specialties collaborate to provide students with relevant and current practice opportunities ranging from individual patient contact to team-based care to population health. Education Directors engage students in creative ways to strengthen learning and information retention. The department also provides fourth year clinical electives and sub-internships preparing students for residency.
The Clinical Sciences Department provides medical students with the knowledge and skills to prepare them for residency utilizing a variety of clinical experiences through innovative instruction which enhances the retention of these skills for a career in medicine.
