The staff in Academic and Accessibility Services understands the challenges and demands of the academic experience at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. While our students have already accomplished academic success, this is a new and different academic culture. We strive to provide academic support to all students outside of the classroom, enriching student success.
We provide academic skills development with individual counseling on topics such as learning styles and study skills. We emphasize active learning methods such as retrieval practice, generation, and elaboration. The staff in Academic and Accessibility Services will also help our students with test-taking skills, specifically multiple-choice tests.
We meet with students individually, helping them acclimate to this new academic environment. We specifically help them develop effective time management skills and establish study schedules. Our goal is to maximize studying time while balancing other life demands. We work with students individually to provide the most effective schedule for their individual needs.
